Register For Friday’s 5K, Share Experiences In Social Media

Last year’s Blue Cross Blue Shield of North Dakota Friday Night 5K was a great experience for the 9,500 who walked or ran the 3.1-mile course at the Fargo Marathon. This year’s 5K is shaping up to be even better. But we need your help.

If you haven’t already done so, please register online by Tuesday night or in person at the Fargodome on Thursday or Friday to walk or run the 5K and tell your family and friends about it. We have five days and 2,800 spots left to fill to reach our goal of 10,000 registrations.

This year we are encouraging participants and those cheering them on to join us in sharing 5K experiences in social media. The event fosters a great sense of community, camaraderie and competition. Sharing and interacting with others in social media is just one more way we can share our experiences from one of the nation’s largest 5Ks.

To share this image on social media, you can save it by right clicking your mouse on it, then share it on Facebook or Twitter.

Sharing quick Facebook or Twitter updates or photos of the 5K on your smartphone can let your family and friends know what you are up to and increase the event’s visibility and exposure. If you’re so inclined, you can also record and post videos to YouTube or use other social media sites such as Pinterest or Foursquare. While you’re getting social, feel free to check out and share content from our Facebook, Twitter and YouTube sites.
