Which insurance plan pays for that?

Our customer service staff answers hundreds of calls each day. We decided we would answer the five most common questions we receive from members. Some of the most common questions are related to which insurance plan should be charged for a specific service.

This involves us answering coverage questions for members who receive health insurance coverage from more than one source. Some examples of this include a married couple who each have insurance plans from their employers, and someone who has insurance coverage through us, but also receives benefits from another program, such as Medicare or Medicaid.

We help to sort out which plan is required to pay when and how the process works for ensuring covered benefits are paid by the correct plan.

If you or your family are covered by multiple plans and you have questions about which plan should pay for what, give us a call at 1-800-342-4718.

Here are the answers to some other frequently asked questions we receive.
