From Oct. 15, to Dec. 7, 2017, people with Medicare can enroll in or change to a prescription drug plan. Plans go into effect Jan. 1, 2018.
Medicare Part D covers prescription drugs. To enroll, you must have Medicare Part A or B.
Medicare Parts A and B do not cover outpatient prescription drugs. Without insurance, costs for these gaps in coverage can add up.
Your BCBSND Part D plan’s cost, coverage and network pharmacies can change each year. Information for 2018 plans will be available beginning in October.
At that time, it will be important to review any changes to your current plan. It is also a good time to decide if your plan will meet all your needs for the next year.
If you do not yet have a Part D plan, this is your chance to enroll.
